A small shop, run by a man with strong opinions about objects.
&VIL is a curated shop of goods made, sourced, and chosen with restraint. It sits at the intersection of a heritage workshop, a private library, and an architectural salvage yard.
What we sell is not extensive. What we sell is considered. A lamp earns its place because it is the right lamp. A jacket earns its place because it will be worn for twenty years. A vintage piece earns its place because it has a story we believe in.
We work out of a restored mill in the Appalachian foothills. The shop fills as the world gives us better things.
Curated with restraint.
We carry fewer things, on purpose. Everything in the shop has been argued over.
Built to last.
If a piece won't outlive its first owner, it doesn't make the cut.
Sourced with story.
Vintage pieces come with provenance where we have it, and silence where we don't.
Looking for something we don't have?
We take private commissions and sourcing requests for the right pieces — a lamp for a specific desk, a chair you've been searching for, a custom run of objects for a hotel or a home. If you have a piece to sell, we look at those too.
